‘Dear Mr. Longfellow’ author to lead discussion on book

AUGUSTA, Maine — The Maine State Library is pleased to host author Sydelle Pearl for a discussion regarding her latest book, “Dear Mr. Longfellow — Letters To and From the Children’s Poet” at 2:30 p.m. June 7, at the library.

Sydelle Pearl has written numerous books, but her latest endeavor features correspondence to and from Henry Longfellow. In fact, some of the research for the book was provided by one the Maine State Library’s Reference Librarians, Melanie Mohney.

From 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. in the library’s second-floor atrium seating area, Pearl will give an engaging talk about her research and her insights into the famous poet. Following the discussion, she will be available for a book signing.
