BAR HARBOR, Maine — In Rwanda, in 2008, English became the language of instruction in all public schools, effectively replacing French and Kinyarwanda. Pam Pearson, a PhD. candidate from Georgia State University will discuss the resulting disarray in a talk that 4:10 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 22,  in McCormick Lecture Hall at the College of the Atlantic. Her talk, “Blurring Linguistic Borders in Rwanda: An ethnography of language policy,” is par of the college’s Human Ecology Forum.
