Church and Community Center to help local residents

CORINTH, Maine  —  The Charleston Church will hold their “Hot2Trot” fuel fundraiser and open house 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, at the Safe Place Community Center, 328 Main St.

The fundraising portion of the day begins with check-in at 10 a.m. with the race at 11 a.m. There is no entrance fee or registration fee. Attendees are encouraged to bring dry goods to contribute to the food pantry.

 The Hot2Trot event consists of a six-mile walk/run/bike/skateboard route. Donors give participants a donation or a gallons per mile pledge. All monies raised will provide fuel assistance to individuals and families in the areas served by the Safe Place Community Center.
