TRESCOTT, Maine — Why wait until January to begin a fitness program? The Cobscook Community Learning Center will be offering a new six-week fitness course with Samantha Williams, Kickstart to Fitness, on Wednesdays, October 2 through November 6, 11:00am-12:00pm. In this course we will burn calories, build muscle with resistance training, and strengthen our cores while improving our balance.
Instructor Samantha Williams has been an ACE (American Council on Exercise) Certified Group Exercise Instructor since 2011, received Zumba certification in 2012, and completed YogaFit Level 1 in 2013. Samantha has been instructing Mindful Movement and Zumba at the CCLC and Women on Weights at the University of Maine Machias since 2012. Visit Samantha’s website: www.getfitinmaine.com.
Cost for the course is $50 and there is scholarship money available. Participants are asked to bring a towel, water and a set of 3-8 lb. handweights. The Cobscook Community Learning Center is located at 10 Commissary Point Rd in Trescott.
