Everyone knows someone that has been affected by cancer whether it was a loved one, friend, or even themselves. Nothing’s worse than feeling like you can’t help out in a situation so intense – but you actually can help. You can help by donating bone marrow if you’re an approved match.
On April 9th & 10th Eastern Maine Community College’s Surgical Technology program will be holding a Bone Marrow Registry. It’ll be hosted at E.M.C.C. from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in Katahdin & Maine Hall. You must be between the ages of 18 & 55. There is no pain in coming to register. All you have to do is show up, get a cheek swab, and fill out a form. For all those who show up, go into a memory bank, and you may or may not be matched.
EVERYONE IS INVITED TO GO! All students of every school, moms, dads, family members, friends and coworkers and whoever else – spread the word and invite.
REMEMBER: If matched to a patient who needs a transplant, a few days of soreness is worth saving a life.
**Also free give aways if you sign up…gift baskets, gift certificate to the bookstore…much more!**
