Ellsworth: Biologist Lynn Havsall, a Downeast Audubon board member and long-time naturalist, will give a slide presentation and talk about bluebirds at Woodlawn on Thursday, May 23rd, from 6:30 to 7:30 pm. The talk will include information about how to build the right birdhouse to attract bluebirds to your backyard. After the talk, she will lead guests outside into the meadow to check the bluebird boxes maintained at Woodlawn by Downeast Audubon. Woodlawn’s bluebird boxes are part of a Hancock County Bluebird Trail program initiated by the Downeast Aubudon that has put up and monitors over 100 boxes in the area. The presentation is free of charge but donations are appreciated. Wear proper footwear for walking in the meadow. Please call Woodlawn at 667-8671 to reserve a seat.
