BAR HARBOR, Maine — Tea and travel will be on tap for 7 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 25, at the Jesup Memorial Library. During the free program, Lynn and John Benson of Bar Harbor will share their tea-seeking adventures in Taiwan and China.

“We have learned that in order to understand tea it helps to have an understanding of the culture, the history, the people, the food, and the geographic landscape,” says John. “Our talk will set the figurative and literal landscape for a greater understanding of tea.”

He and Lynn will share images and information they gathered on their journeys throughout China and Taiwan’s tea producing regions including Fujian, Anhui, Zhejiang, and Yunnan provinces in China and the high mountain counties of central Taiwan.

The Bensons are the owners of Tea House 278 on Main Street in Bar Harbor.
