On Saturday, September 14 from 1-3:30pm, the Belfast Co-op is sponsoring a tour of Rolling Acres Farm in Monroe, owned & operated by Josh Oxley, who grows a wide variety of organic vegetables, flowers and herbs for sale at the Belfast & Rockland farmers markets. Using cover crops, crop rotation and compost, he nourishes the soil, improving the quality of the produce while reducing dependence on off-farm inputs. He has mastered season extension without the benefit of a connection to the power grid, having developed a number of innovative, energy-efficient strategies.

Transportation provided from the Co-op by Waldo CAP. $10 pre-registration required; limited seating. Reserve your seat at any register at the Co-op, or call (207) 338-2532 with a credit card.

The community-owned Belfast Co-op, open 7:30am-8pm daily, is located at 123 High Street in downtown Belfast. All are welcome! For additional information, please visit: belfast.coop, or call (207) 338-2532.
