ELLSWORTH: Thinking of getting hens? Come to Woodlawn Saturday, July 21, from 9:30 am to 11 am, as Ed Wynn, owner of 5 Seasons Farm, leads a presentation on what it takes to raise egg layers. Wynn’s discussion will focus on what it takes to purchase and raise a small number of egg laying hens, including supplier contact information and a review of feeding and coop design. The cost to attend the talk is $20 for Woodlawn members/$30 for non-members. As space is limited, pre-registration is required by calling Woodlawn at 667-8671.

Woodlawn is an educational, cultural, and recreational treasure for the people of Downeast ME. The main house is open for tours through October 31st.
