We promise that you won’t be getting sleepy when award-winning hypnotist and Ripley’s Believe It Or Not star Roderick Russell comes to John Bapst’s Sekera Auditorium for one unforgettable night Friday, March 15 at 7 p.m. to benefit Oxfam. Sponsored by the John Bapst Student Environmental Action Committee, this completely interactive show, in which only willing volunteers are used, by nationally-known touring artist and clinical hypnotherapist Roderick Russell demonstrates the power of the mind to create our reality – and will induce non-stop laughter in the process.

After a short, fun introduction to hypnosis, Mr. Russell calls for volunteers to join him onstage where participants are then dramatically hypnotized and, once “under”, they themselves become the stars of the show. While in the hypnotic state, Mr. Russell makes them believe – and act out – a variety of hilarious scenarios that will leave you rolling in the aisles with laughter! Your face will hurt from laughing as people see things that aren’t there, smell smells that don’t exist, think that they are famous movie stars and world-class dancers, or even believe that they’re somewhere other than the stage.

Whether you choose to see the show or be the show, Roderick Russell guarantees a fun, family-friendly and decidedly different show that you simply won’t see elsewhere. Come see why Maxim magazine calls him “the real deal” and why he was voted “Best Of” the Discovery Channel. Support a good cause and, in the process, create memories that will last a lifetime! Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for students and are available at the door, or in advance online. For more information visit or for advance tickets.
