The Bangor Band will be performing a holiday concert on Wednesday, July 4th, at 7:00 p.m, at Pickering Square in downtown Bangor. This concert is cosponsored by Gross, Minsky & Mogul. The conductor of the Bangor Band is Dr. Fredric Goldrich.

Admission is free, although donations are welcomed.

Founded in 1859, the Bangor Band is one of the oldest continuous community bands in the United States. The conductor of the Bangor Band is Dr. Fredric Goldrich.

Among the major works that will be featured at various concerts this summer will be music from “The Pirates of the Caribbean”, the “Overture to Candide” by Leonard Bernstein, selections from Henry Mancini, “Hoagy Carmichael in Concert”, the theme from “Schindler’s List”, and highlights from the Broadway musicals “Oklahoma!”, “Sweeney Todd”, “Grease”, and “Camelot”, as well as other popular tunes and marches.
