Meet the author/illustrator/animator, Russ Cox at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20, at the Pittsfield Public Library. Discover how a picture book is put together from getting the story to storyboards and sketches to final art, and then the final book. Audience participants will come up with a new character together and everyone will draw what they think the character look like.
Pittsfield resident, Russ Cox is the illustrator of “Major Manners Presents Nite-Nite Soldier”, an award-winning finalist for Best New Children’s Picture Book. He is the creative genius behind Smiling Otis Studio, a one person illustration/animation studio specializing in the children’s market.
