Award-winning TV journalist Jack Perkins and his wife Mary Jo were the last 2 people to live on Bar Island, an island just off Bar Harbor, and recount the tale of finding the place and finding faith in Mr. Perkins’ new book, “Finding Moosewood, Finding God.” He and his wife will be at the Jesup Memorial Library on Saturday, June 8 at 2 p.m. to talk about the book and their lives as the last two people ever to live on Bar Island, which is now part of Acadia National Park.

Sherman’s book store will on hand with copies of “Finding Moosewood, Finding God,” for purchase, and part of the proceeds of books purchased that day will go to the Jesup.
