FARMINGTON, Maine — Lew-Ellyn Hughes  will perform and read from her latest book of essays, “Diamonds from the Corner,” at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 15, Farmington Public Library.

Hughes has taken second place in the local weekly column category of the Maine Press Association Better Newspaper Contest in 2008, 2011 and 2012.
