Noted Maine artist David Little will be at the Jesup Memorial Library on Thursday, July 11 at 7 p.m. to talk about his stunning new book from Down East, “Katahdin.” The full-color coffee table book looks at the work of artists who’ve explored Katahdin over the years, from the earliest renderings to contemporary paintings. Mr. Little will be at the Jesup to talk about the art and the book, along with his art critic brother Carl Little, an MDI resident, who edited the volume. Sherman’s, which is co-sponsor of this event, will be on hand with books for purchase, and part of the proceeds of books bought that night go to the Jesup. For more information, call 288-4245.
