The gWatson Gallery, Stonington, on Deer Isle, is exhibiting new paintings by Hannah Bureau from August 3 to August 24, 2012. Bureau’s paintings – landscapes inhabited by shapes and objects, both abstract and recognizable – take an indirect approach to the landscape. Some of her landscapes are easily recognizable, others less so. Hannah Bureau graduated from Rhode Island School of Design with a BFA and from Massachusetts College of Art with an MFA.
A reception for the artist will be held on Friday, August 3 from 4 to 7 PM as part of Stonington’s First Friday Art Walk,
