Woodlawn is pleased to have artist Judy Taylor lead a still life sketching workshop on Tuesday, August 28, from 10 am to 3 pm.

It is a time honored tradition for students of art to work directly from museum collections. With that in mind, Woodlawn is introducing a still life sketching class with local artist Judy Taylor. Participants will have a rare opportunity to use Woodlawn’s collection as a learning tool. Instructor Judy Taylor will teach about setting scale, measuring proportions, recognizing and using planes to create sculptural drawings, use of negative and positive space, and the importance of a strong composition. In addition to being an experienced teacher, Judy has exhibited in numerous galleries throughout the States. The cost for the still life sketching workshop scheduled on Tuesday, August 28, from 10 am to 3 pm, is $130 for Woodlawn members/$140 for non-members. As space is limited, pre-registration is required by calling Woodlawn at 667-8671.
