Lancaster County, Pennsylvania is ideal cycle touring country! All rides pass through picturesque farmland, covered bridges and traverse lightly traveled roads. Routes are very appropriate for cyclists of all abilities and may be modified to fit the groups need.

Visiting Lancaster County is like riding through the past. The area is known for its Amish and Mennonite communities and it is common to see horse drawn carriages on the roads and teams of mules working the fields. Cyclists will have the option of visiting Hershey along with numerous farms stands, old-fashioned bakeries, wineries and chocolate shops and Gettysburg.

The tour includes nightly campfire cycling”clinics” led by Erik DaSilva, in which he will offer lessons on basic bike maintenance, riding technique, injury prevention and answer any questions from the group. Transportation, meals and accommodations are part of the package. All meals are planned by Katie Mroz, the Bangor YMCA licensed nutritionist.
