Third Talk in the Series
Nutritionist John Bagnulo will present a Nutrition Game Plan on how to change your refrigerator, your pantry, and ultimately your health. Learn how to stock your kitchen, how to shop and what to cook to find the health and energy that we all want. This presentation is the third talk in his whole foods, plant-based diet lecture series and will essentially be a how-to guide in transforming the way you eat and how you feel.
Please join us on Tuesday, February 19 from 6:30–8 p.m. in the Community Room at the Penobscot Bay YMCA, Rockport. There is no need to RSVP.
This program is co-sponsored by Pen Bay Healthcare’s Picker Family Resource Center and the YMCA in service to improving the health and quality of life of our community.
Bagnulo earned a Master of Public Health from the University of North Carolina and a Ph.D. in Nutrition and Food Science from the University of Maine. He lectures and teaches programs nationally in the area of nutrition and disease prevention/reversal. He recommends that individuals look more closely at the volume of flour and cereal products they are eating, how these foods may be displacing what is nutritionally most important, how they are responding metabolically to the various sources of sugar in their diet, and what foods are actually providing significant nutrients to their body.
The Picker Center promotes building community by providing health resources and support that serve the needs of women and their families throughout their lives. The Center’s hours are 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Visit www.penbayhealthcare.org/pickercenter for more information or call 596-8950.
