Join us September 8, 2012 for the 8th Beth C. Wright Ride For Life starting at the Surry Elementary School. The Ride for Life benefits the Beth C. Wright Cancer Resource Center and enables us to serve people and their families dealing with cancer in Washington and Hancock Counties. This year there will again be an 8 mile ride, 20 mile ride, 50 mile ride and 100 mile ride, so there is a ride for every bicycle riders’ ability level, and each ride has a great view of the Maine coast.
There will be plenty of comfort stations, fruit, water and other refreshments along the routes. Each pre-registered rider gets a free t-shirt and free lobster roll after the Ride, and there will be musical entertainment. The route is well-marked with signs at each turn, and we have a communications network so that we can keep track of all the riders out on the course.
This year we will be giving special recognition to teams of riders that raise at least $500.00. Teams can have 5-10 members. Please think about forming a team and then asking your friends and neighbors to pledge money to the Beth C. Wright Center to show their support for you and the Center. The winning team will be treated to a supper put on by the Ride for Life planning committee.
