As part of the yearlong celebration of its 40th anniversary, Maine Media Workshops + College’s highlight photography exhibit features some of Maine Media’s best known faculty, nationally acclaimed local artists, alongside the work of their students.

Artists learn and hone their craft in many ways, but perhaps no relationship is more instructive and lasting than one built with a mentor. For 40 years, Maine Media Workshops has fostered relationships between emerging and established artists through intense and immersive courses, building bonds between teachers and students that have lasted decades and spanned the globe. “Mentor: 40 Photographs, 40 Years” explores that connection in images.
