Artists’ guild to host annual show, sale in Pownal

POWNAL, Maine — Bradbury Mountain Arts, a guild of artists and artisans of Pownal, will host its 14th annual Holiday Show and Sale 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2, at historic Mallett Hall, 429 Hallowell Road. The facility is handicapped accessible with a ramp and elevator.

The show will feature paintings, prints, turned wood, pottery, ceramics, painted floor cloths and placemats, jewelry, dollhouses, glass, mixed media and woodburned paintings.

An addition this year will be African handcrafts sold to benefit the Kakamega AIDS Orphan Project in Kenya.

Pownal Elementary School will offer refreshments 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, sold to benefit IMPACT. Wreaths by children will be available to raise funds to attend Space Camp.

On Sunday, an acoustic fiddle music jam with guitar, fiddle, Celtic flute and stand up bass will take place.

Admission is free.
