Thursday & Friday, August 2 & 3 – JAZZ POETRY: 100 Years of Lobsters. Saxophonist Roy Nathanson and beat boxer Napoleon Maddox lead local poets and musicians in a 2-day workshop and Friday evening presentation blending spoken word and jazz.
Saturday, August 4 – Extraordinary composer and saxophonist Roy Nathanson and his irreverent group, that somehow manages to orbit both the Marx Brothers and Sun Ra, in concert. Nathanson is OHA’s visiting artist at Haystack Mountain School of Crafts during the fifth session. George Stevens Academy 1st-place combo Intrepid Ensemble will open.
