AUGUSTA, Maine — The Maine Chapter of Women’s Transportation Seminar is offering its first $2,500 scholarship to an outstanding female high school senior pursuing a career in Transportation and enrolling in a college or university in one of the STEM disciplines (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math).
The recipient will be selected based on academic performance in high school, participation in extracurricular activities, letters of reference, and a personal statement.
Application deadline for the scholarship is Jan. 15. WTS-Maine scholarship packages were mailed to all Maine high school guidance offices in November 2013. Students may find the application at their local guidance office, or may contact Elizabeth Brownell at 879-1838 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
