WESTBROOK, ME – January X, 2014 – WGTECH, Maine’s resource for advanced information technology solutions, announces that members of its team have earned new technical certifications from network technology vendor Cisco and from intelligent contact center solution provider Interactive Intelligence. In addition to providing better support to customers, the certification levels enable WGTECH to extend discounts on products to customers.
New certifications for the WGTECH team include:
• Shawn Pennington, Senior Systems Engineer, WGTECH is now certified as a Cisco Certified Network Professional – Security, and as an Interactive Intelligence Interaction Center Certified Engineer 4.0.
• Josh Randall, Network Engineer, WGTECH is now certified as a Cisco Certified Network Associate – Security, Cisco Certified Network Associate – Wireless, and as a Cisco Borderless Network Mobility Support Specialist.
“We extend our congratulations to Josh and Shawn for earning these advanced level certifications,” says Bill McKeen, VP of Systems and Technology, WGTECH. “WGTECH invests in ongoing education and training to support the personal growth of our team members, but also to ensure that we have the expertise we need to help our customers choose, install, and use advanced technologies effectively.”
Technical members of the WGTECH team each spend more than 80 hours per year on company time to study and prepare for various certification levels. The certifications verify technical skills and enable WGTECH to earn deeper discounts on products. WGTECH passes along these savings to customers.
“Every dollar we spend on education and training represents one less dollar that our customers have to spend to keep staff up to speed on technologies,” says McKeen. “When combined with the product discounts we can offer, our investments in certification pay off for our entire customer base.”
