BANGOR, Maine – Over a dozen businesses and organizations are partnering to offer sales and discounts to coincide with the Ceremonial Ground Breaking Event at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 26, at West Market Square.
To kick off the West Market Square renovation project, Council Chair Ben Sprague and other local officials will be on hand to break the first ground. This event will be a chance to inform the public about the upcoming renovations to West Market Square and to show appreciation to the Downtown businesses who will be impacted by the construction that is expected to last the entire summer.
Downtown businesses will be holding additional sales and other promotional events throughout the summer construction season to encourage shoppers to check out the progress in West Market Square and take advantage of all the shops and restaurants open daily in Downtown Bangor.
