BANGOR, Maine — Bangor Parks and Recreation Department and Penobscot Region chapter of the New England Mountain Bike Association are collaborating to offer a weekly family and youth mountain bike ride at Bangor City Forest this summer. The program will held 6-7 p.m. Wednesdays, July 9-Aug. 13, at Bangor City Forest.
Riders will explore a variety of dirt roads, paths, and trails and learn about the basics of mountain biking. Specific mountain bike skills will be introduced on trail and in obstacle courses. The goal of the program is to introduce area youths and families to the fun that can be had with off-road biking.
Fee is $10 for Bangor residents and $12 for nonresidents. For information or to register, visit www.BangorParksandRec.com or call 992-4490.
