The featured display through August at the Orland Historical Society Museum will be wedding gowns, such as this one, encompassing a century of styles.The gowns are on loan from the ladies of Orland and Bucksport. Among them are one worn by both mother and daughter. Another feature is three generations of gowns from one family. The dates of the gowns range from 1898 to 2002 although not all consecutive decades in between. The Historical Society, located on School House Road in Orland, is open 1-3 p.m. first and third Fridays, June through August.
