When Karen and Ray said they’d travel 3 hrs to attend the Manes and Tails Family Barn Dance if it wasn’t raining, they meant it. Fun activities, dancing and plenty of food were enjoyed by all who attended. Faces were painted, pop corn, cotton candy, games, animals goats to doggies, loads of deserts, to pet an play, beans, hot dogs and beverages,…. and especially some very fun dancing, lead by the DJ himself! This treat for the community was organized and run by Manes and Tails volunteers from fort Kent to Houlton, the Monticello Recreation Department, Caribou Burger Boy, sponsors from Save A Lot, Paradis Shop and Save, Peterson’s Septic, Magic elfs and fairies, extra volunteer bakers and Triple C- DJ music man. Door prizes were handed out, half and half raffle and Plenty of information about Manes and Tails and opportunities to attend Equine Assisted Services in Aroostook were on hand.
