Watercolor Classes

The Bangor Parks and Recreation Department invites you to join instructor David Whalen for Watercolor Classes.

Adult Watercolor Classes – You will learn all the very basics… from learning about the different brushes and how to use them, finding the right watercolor paper for you, how to mix and apply pigment, and how to gain confidence in every piece of art you do. This class is for ages 16+ and is held Friday evenings at the Bangor Parks and Rec Center at 647 Main St. from 6:00-8:00 pm, March 8- April 26. The fee for this 8 week program is $80 per person with some additional supply costs after the first class. Youth Class – Absolutely no previous art training or drawing skills necessary (perfect for beginners) Step-by-step lesson plans included. The class is for ages 10-15 and will be held Friday afternoons at the Bangor Parks and Rec Center at 647 Main St. from 3:45-5:15 pm March 8- April 12 (Transportation from Bangor K-3 or 4-5 schools to Parks and Rec can be provided) The fee for this 6 week program is $50 and an additional $5 supply fee paid to instructor at the 1st class.
