Friends of the Orono Public Library are teaming up with Gateway Seniors Without Walls to recruit people who sew of all ages and abilities. We will be creating a quilt to be auctioned off as a raffle prize at the Orono Backyard Bash, a friend-raising, fund-raising party for the Orono Public Library. So bring your sewing machine and join us at the Orono Public Library for some good old-fashioned community fun!

We will work together on the quilt on 3 Saturdays: April 26 and May 10 and 24 at the Orono Public Library, 39 Pine Street, Orono, Maine. Each session will last two hours, beginning at 1 pm and continuing until 3 pm .

Interested people should contact Deanna Fahey at 512-569-1702 or write at oronofriends@gmail.com

The quilt will be auctioned at the Orono Backyard Bash, which will be held on June 12, 2014 at 5:30 – 7:00 pm

Funds from the auction will go to the Orono Public Library to help finance children’s programming.
