On Sunday afternoon August 4 from 1:30 to 4:30 pm, River City Therapy & Wellness Center, at 268 State Street in Bangor, will present a unique Yamuna Body Rolling class that will focus on freeing the hips though working on the feet and legs.

This three-hour workshop is perfect for anyone who wants to release the feeling of tightness in their hips from sitting too much; a common modern condition because of computer work. Health experts now agree that sitting is harming us, but using a few simple yet powerful techniques will forever change how you see and work with your body.

The hips are often considered “gates” to good health and in this unique class, certified Yamuna Body Rolling teacher, Marianna Moll, will lead participants to work the feet and legs to bring freedom to the hips.

The workshop will start with awakening and restructuring the feet, the foundation of our bodies and an important component of our bodies alignment and structure. Then, with different sized balls, participants will deeply work the legs, strengthening and unwinding them so they can move more freely in the hip socket.

Come release your legs and pelvis, and open your “gate” to life and you may even avoid many of the painful consequences our modern lifestyle can bring from decades of sitting.
