Waldo County Humane Society Awards Four Scholarship for Further Education in Animal Studies

The Waldo County Humane Society is pleased to announce the recipients of the Madeline M. King/Constance K. Barnes Scholarships for 2012

Emily Blood who will attend University of Maine received $1000, Erin Rollins who will attend Husson College received $1000, Hillary Seekins who will attend Thomas College received $1000, and Casie James who will attend UMA Bangor received $500.

These awards were made available through the continued generous support of the Madeline M. King/Constance K. Barnes Scholarship Program which annually awards scholarships to Waldo County students who have been accepted to college, and are planning to pursue a degree in veterinary medicine or an animal welfare related field. The program is open to all Waldo County graduating High School students and students already enrolled in a college.
