Maine Interfaith Power & Light and WindowDressers are seeking volunteers to assemble light weight, wooden framed, clear plastic covered window inserts. WindowDressers is a non-profit organization that has perfected a system of organizing volunteers to build the window inserts for community buildings and homes in Maine. The inserts help reduce heating costs and drafts. Maine Interfaith Power & Light is an environmental organization that works with faith communities on projects that address climate change. The two organizations have organized a window insert building week at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Bangor from Monday, September 30th till Friday, October 4th.

Volunteers are needed to assemble the window inserts. Are you interested? Do you want to work with others to help address climate change? Ready to participate in a community project? Call now!

The shifts are 8:30 am -12:30 pm and 1-5 pm, we are considering having evening shifts from 5:30 – 8:30 to enable those who can’t make it during the day time to get involved. Contact Christina Diebold for more information and to register for your time slot at 941-1670.
