The ocean and narrows here take on a boiling cauldron appearance around this time of year due to severe temperature differences between air and ocean,…the resulting display is like something out of a child’s fairy tale.

This venture was quite an interesting experience to say the least.

I was fortunate to have favorable conditions and wise enough to dress adequately.

I’ve never attempted anything quite this challenging, at least not in single digit /below zero wind chill conditions like these.
