UMFK’s Gauvin appointed to academic society editorial board

University of Maine at Fort Kent Associate Professor of Electronic Commerce, Anthony Gauvin, recently was appointed to a position on the editorial board of The Community Development Society (CDS). The appointment is for three years.

The editorial board oversees the publication the publication of the Community Development Society Journal. The editorial board provides recommendations on journal policies and practices, and its members serve as ambassadors in promoting the journal. Additionally, editorial board members are expected to review journal manuscripts on a regular basis.

Professor Gauvin’s appointment to the CDS editorial board reflects his academic expertise in the field of rural economic development. The Community Development Society is one of few academic societies that deals with economic and social issues in rural communities.
