Looking for ways to save money on your utilities bill, just in time for winter? Want to help protect our planet, but don’t quite know where to begin? Well then, save the date! On November 1st, the Maine Partnership for Environmental Stewardship and the University of Maine are holding an Energy and Sustainability Fair at the United Methodist Church in Orono. The event will host experts from a diversity of green organizations who can help you reduce your carbon footprint AND, simultaneously, save you money! Pat’s Pizza, homemade sweets, and a mocktail bar will be available. Dr. Sharon Klein, an expert on community energy and a Professor of Economics at UMaine, will be giving an inspirational keynote speech during the event. The night will end with energy and sustainability trivia with prizes from local businesses, such as: Marsh Island Brewing Company, Orono Brewing Company, Verve, Ampersand, and many more! Live music will be provided throughout the event by the talented Dylan Cunningham and Charlie Butera! Free energy efficiency and sustainability resource guides will be available. The best part: THE ENTIRE EVENT IS FREE!
