Posted May 05, 2014, at 11:25 a.m.

UCP of Maine is pleased to announce the addition of Bonny Dodson, LCSW as Clinical Director to oversee our Home and Community Treatment (HCT) and Outpatient Services.

Bonny received a Masters in Clinical Social Work from Smith College. Her work and training has focused on family therapy, attachment and trauma including such models as Child Parent Psychotherapy, Play Therapy, Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR). She has also worked extensively with kinship families, reunification, permanency preparation for foster children and post adoption support. She feels “whatever issues have brought you or your child to therapy or what specific treatment modality we choose, the most important focus is that you direct the process. The primary considerations are your goals/hopes/expectations, strengths, ideas, and if you find our work is helping.”

UCP of Maine’s children services include: Home and Community Treatment (HCT), Early Childhood Services (Bridges), Rehabilitative and Community Supports (RCS), Outpatient Therapy and a dental program though our Washington County division. Adult services include Mental Health Outpatient, Adult Residential, TeleHealth and Other Related Conditions (ORC). For both children and adults we offer Case Management and our Elizabeth Levinson Center (ELC) which is a 14-bed Intermediate Care Facility (ICF-IID).
