THOMASTON, MAINE – Trekkers, a nonprofit outdoor-based youth mentoring organization, is holding a Valentine’s Day Dance, “V-Day Par-Tay,” fundraising event on Friday, February 14th at the Samoset Resort. This 21 and over fundraiser will feature the live music of local rock ‘n’ roll band, “Creatures of Habit,” who are known for playing music that gets people dancing! With roots that started in the midcoast in the 70s, “Creatures of Habit” has earned the reputation as a popular dance band, known for entertaining audiences for fundraisers and community and school gatherings.

The evening will begin with a social hour from 7-8PM and include a cash bar provided by the Samoset. “Creatures of Habit” will take the stage starting at 8PM and keep things moving until midnight. The event will combine fantastic music, delicious appetizers, a silent auction gift basket, carnations for purchase, and an evening of fun, all to benefit Trekkers’ students. The proceeds will be directly applied to the students’ program fees.

There are still a few tickets available but they are going fast. Tickets to the dance are $15 each and can be reserved by contacting a participating Trekker, or by calling Jenni Brooks at jenni@trekkers.org or 207-594-5095.
