On Wednesday, August 16, 2014 at 6pm, Judy Taylor will give a Travel and Sketch Lecture at the Northeast Harbor Library. Her presentation will cover her last three years of teaching classes in art, art history and sketching in Tuscany, Rome, Venice, Florence, Sienna and most recently Toulouse and the Pyrenees. She will take you on a trip to the countryside that has inspired artists for centuries and to the cities to look at art in some of the greatest museums in Europe with frequent stops in villages containing quiet masterpieces.
Prior to coming to Maine in 2002 to live full time, Judy resided in New York City. In 2007, she was awarded the commission to paint the History of Labor in Maine which took a full year to complete. Her work is in many public and private collections including: Johns Hopkins University, the United States Park System, Friends of Acadia and the Jackson Laboratory.
This talk is free and open to the public and everyone is welcome.
