Traffic sensors to be installed in Vassalboro

VASSALBORO, Maine — Maine Department of Transportation crews will install traffic sensors on Monday, July 28, in the pavement at the intersection of Route 201 and the north junction of the Cushnoc Road in Vassalboro.

The project begins 1,500 feet south of the Cushnoc Road and 1,000 feet north of the Cushnoc Road.

Alternating one-way traffic will be controlled by flaggers while the work is performed 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

This project supports the Traffic Monitoring Program, which provides the number of vehicles utilizing the highway throughout the year as well as changes in traffic patterns.
