BAR HARBOR, Maine — Veterans, family, friends and the Community are invited to commemorate the men and women who have died while serving our country at a traditional Memorial Day Ceremony in Bar Harbor.
Join the Legion, Coast Guard, Fire Department and our nation’s veterans at 10 a.m. Monday, May 26, on the Bar Harbor Town Pier.
Prior to the ceremony, enjoy music by the Gospel Gents. Guest Speakers include Tinker Bunker Sgt. At Arms, Post 25, Maine Secretary of State the Honorable Matt Dunlap and Paul Durost, 12th District Commander, who will share their thoughts and memories. The Ceremony is rounded out when the Coast Guard ship lays a wreath overboard in remembrance of all who have died in service to our country. The Emerson School Band will perform, as well as other musical guests. Following the ceremony, enjoy coffee and donuts before touring the Coast Guard ship.
In the event of rain, the ceremony will be held at the George Edwin Kirk American Legion Post 25 building at 70 Cottage Street in downtown Bar Harbor.
