(THOMASTON, ME): The Time Out Pub in Rockland hosted a golf tournament at the Rockland Golf Club on September 15 that scored a ‘hole in one’ for the animals at the Pope Memorial Humane Society (PMHSKC). PMHSKC received $1,550 in proceeds raised in the tournament.
“This was a great day out for Midcoast golfers, and we had the pleasure of raising funds to support PMHSKC’s worthwhile programs at the same time. I want to thank the Time Out Pub faithful who participated. By popular demand, we have already scheduled next year’s tournament on September 14, 2014.” said Jim Beaulieu, owner of the Time Out Pub.
Tournament winners were Brandon Staples, Charlie Johnson, Phil Bertocci and Paul Street. The longest drive award was won by Rick St. Peter, and Lindy Wallace won $100 (donated by Kevin Kaller) for winning the ‘closest to the pin’ challenge. All prize winnings were donated back to PMHSKC.
PMHSKC Board President Richard Procopio said: “We sincerely appreciate this support from our friends at Time Out Pub for this great event and wonderful donation. This will go a long way in helping us care for and rehome homeless animals in need.”
