On Monday, July 28, Friends of Baxter State Park and Maine Woods Forever will host a talk by Scot Miller, the author of ‘Thoreau, The Maine Woods: A photographic journey through an American wilderness’(Levenger Press, 2013). An award-winning photographer, videographer, and author, Miller hails from Dallas, Texas. He spent seven years retracing Thoreau’s journeys through the Maine Woods to create the images in his new edition of Thoreau’s 1864 masterpiece. Miller’s work is featured in museums and galleries all over the country, including a current exhibit at the Harvard Museum of Natural History. He was the recipient of a 2011 National Outdoor Book Award.
Miller’s presentation will be held at 7:00pm on Monday, July 28 at CoeSpace, 48 Columbia Street, Bangor. This event is free and open to the public.
