The events of Holy Week and the death of Jesus Christ will be portrayed in a drama titled “The Stones of Passion” by Ron Motley at 6 p.m. on Good Friday, April 18, at Bangor First United Methodist Church, 703 Essex St. Two local churches, Grace United Methodist and Bangor First United Methodist, combine their talents to offer this unique experience. Produced by special arrangement with Contemporary Drama Services of Colorado Springs, Colo, this play will offer a unique portrayal of the Passion of Jesus Christ. Each of the seven stones — Jubilation, Anger, Self-righteousness, Remembrance, Anguish, Rejection, and finally Death/Resurrection — help us remember the passion of Jesus Christ. The public is invited to attend this special event and receive a stone to take home as a reminder. For information call 945-9567.
