The First, N.A. creates nine jobs with downtown office

BANGOR, Maine — Daniel R. Daigneault, president and CEO of The First Bancorp, is pleased to announce the hiring of nine staff for the recently opened office on Exchange Street in downtown Bangor.

“The First is proud to be a part of the revitalization of downtown Bangor,” explained Daigneault. “We want to work together and grow right alongside this vibrant community.”

The First welcomes Courtney Brehaut, as assistant vice president, Bangor branch manager. Brehaut recently served as branch manager at Machias Savings Bank in Brewer and has five years experience in pharmaceutical sales. She graduated from University of Maine Orono with a BA in business administration, management focus, and resides in Hampden with her husband Ty and son Zachery.

In addition to Brehaut, Cynthia Fogg joins The First as vice president, senior mortgage account officer.  Fogg has more than 10 years experience as a mortgage lender and recently served as an assistant vice president loan officer at People’s United Bank in Bangor. She received an MBS from Husson University and attended University of Maine Orono. Fogg is a member of the Greater Bangor Association of Realtors, works with the Bangor Region Chamber of Commerce and lives in Hermon with her husband Bob.

Jeremy Daigle comes on board as vice president, commercial lender-Business Relationship Office.  With 16 years of professional banking experience, Daigle spent time with People’s United Bank, the Seaboard Federal Credit Union and Bangor Savings Bank. Daigle graduated from University of Maine Orono with a BA in business and public administration. He is a vice president of the Bucksport Bay Area Chamber of Commerce, a Buck Memorial Library Trustee, serves on the Bucksport Zoning Board of Appeals and coaches Little League. He resides in Bucksport with his wife Jennifer and four children, Hayden, Connor, Lauren and Colby.

Greeting customers in the lobby at the custom-made banking pods will be Jeff Cole, Lacy Massengale and Torie Lebreton. Jessica Beal serves as a senior loan assistant and Kurt Dewitt rounds out the crew as the Bangor facilities supervisor. Nazrin Dixon will be expanding First Advisors investment services into the Bangor market as a relationship manager and welcomes customers to her office inside the branch.

The team at The First would like to welcome the Bangor community into the branch to meet the new staff, see the beautiful new office, and enter to win the “A Lot to Love in Bangor” prize package giveaway drawings that will be happening throughout March and April. Lobby hours of operation are Monday through Thursday 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday 9 a.m. to noon.
