Posted Oct. 08, 2013, at 3:58 p.m.

The Affordable Care Act (ACA) aims to increase the quality and affordability of health insurance by expanding public and private insurance coverage, but what does this mean for you and your family?

You are invited to attend an informational session to learn more about the state-wide health insurance marketplace/exchange created in Maine as a result of the ACA. This event will be held on Wednesday, October 16th from 7-9 pm in the MDI High School Library.

Andrea Irwin, Esq., Staff Attorney and Policy Advocate for the Consumers for Affordable Health Care (CAHC) will provide you with resources to navigate the existing health care system. After her presentation, Ms. Irwin will be joined by Art Blank, President/CEO of MDI Hospital and David White, a small business owner and health care advocate.

Take advantage of this opportunity to ask questions and get the information you need to make the right choice for you and your family.
