Wendy Andresen will host a September session of her “Tending the Perennial Garden” series at Merryspring Nature Center on Tuesday, September 3 at 12:00 noon.

In September, many late-blooming perennial plants are showing their true colors, while many of the gardens’ early bloomers have already gone to seed. Wendy will demonstrate garden management methods specifically for the late summer garden. Guests may bring envelopes if they wish to collect seeds to take home. As always, Tracy DiSabato-Aust’s seminal book The Well Tended Perennial Garden will serve as a reference for the material, copies of which will be for sale along with garden tools and merchandise after the presentation.

This is an outdoor presentation. Guests should meet outside at the Hexagon at 12:00 noon. Participants are reminded to wear weather appropriate clothing and comfortable shoes to this event.

Admission to this program is free to Merryspring members and children, with a nominal $5 fee for non-members.

This talk is part of the Summer Talk series at Merryspring, co-sponsored by Camden National Bank and Jaret & Cohn Real-Estate.
