Camden gardener and Merryspring volunteer Wendy Andresen will present the second installment of her monthly lecture series titled “Tending the Perennial Garden” at Merryspring Nature Center on Tuesday, July 3 at 12:00 p.m.
Andresen will again demonstrate techniques and tips to help your perennial garden thrive throughout the year. As the season progresses, each session will include demonstrations on different plants and new techniques for managing your own garden. Andresen’s presentation will reference Tracy DiSabato-Aust’s essential garden manual, The Well Tended Perennial Garden. Copies of DiSabato-Aust’s book and other garden tools and accessories will be available for purchase.
Participants for this talk should meet outside at Merryspring’s gazebo at noon. Guests are reminded to wear comfortable shoes and weather-appropriate clothing.
After owning and managing a garden design and maintenance business in Connecticut, Wendy and her husband Ray moved to Camden in 2006. Wendy currently serves as a volunteer at Merryspring, where she maintains the park’s perennial beds.
This presentation is part of the Spring Talk Series at Merryspring, which is being co-sponsored by Camden National Bank and Jaret & Cohn Real Estate.
Admission to the Tuesday Talks is free to Merryspring members and children, with a nominal $5 fee for non-members.
