The Atrium Art Gallery at the University of Southern Maine’s Lewiston-Auburn College is presenting its summer exhibition “Tell Me a Story: A World of Wonders” featuring children’s book illustrations by 11 Maine artists. The exhibition of over 75 illustrations continues through August 3.

Second in a series of three exhibitions of work by Maine artists who have illustrated children’s books, “A World of Wonders” features original paintings, drawings, and collages. Topics include marine life, insect ecology, plant and animal habitat, geology, science history, and river ecology.

Artists in the exhibition are Mimi Carpenter, Cape Porpoise; Cathryn Falwell, Gorham; Kevin Hawkes, Gorham; Jamie Hogan, Peaks Island;Rebecca Haley McCall, Blue Hill; Joline McFadden, Lewiston; Gustav Moore, Seattle, formerly of Whitefield; Olga Pastuchiv, Richmond; Rebekah Raye, Blue Hill; Jim Sollers, Rockland; and Helen Stevens, Gardiner.

Tell Me a Story: A World of Wonders is sponsored by Bangor Savings Bank.

USM’s Lewiston-Auburn College at 51 Westminster Street in Lewiston offers interdisciplinary bachelor and graduate degree programs with both online and on-site classes.
